Choose Your Own Adventure (for students only) 鈥撀New Student Orientation will be hosting a 鈥淐hoose Your Own Adventure鈥 night where first year and transfer students may choose from a range of activities to do in various locations throughout the night. So bring a friend, roommate, or come on your own for night of fun!
Students may pick from the options below.
- Lowry Center, The Alley (G41), lower level 鈥撀Lowry Center is your student center, serving as the living room of the College. Lowry provides students a vibrant facility to socialize, work, dine, study, shop, find resources, play games, and attend events and meetings. During Choose Your Own Adventure, join the Office of Student Engagement to make 藏花阁直播 themed room d茅cor. To learn about more events sponsored by Student Engagement, follow聽.
- Lowry Center, Allen Commons, 2nd floor 鈥 Join the Office of Student Engagement to play oversized games like Jenga, Checkers, Left Right Center (LRC), Uno, Sorry, and Connect 4. To learn more about events sponsored by Student Engagement, follow .
- Common Grounds (located across from Admissions, 836 College Ave.) 鈥撀Common Grounds (CG) is a student-run organization that provides a substance free relaxed night life atmosphere that strives to be a safe place for the campus community. Open several days a week and weekends, Common Grounds offers fun events and refreshments for purchases, such as Italian sodas, baked treats, coffee, tea, and more. Follow them聽聽on Instagram to stay up to date on all things CG. During Choose Your Own Adventure, come play board games with Common Grounds. They will have goods for purchase with cash or card, as well as a variety of board games.
- The College Underground (located in the basement of Kittredge Dining Hall, 535 Wayne Ave.) 鈥聽The Underground (UG) is our on-campus bar and programming space. Open several days a week, the UG is a fun place to hang out even if you鈥檙e not 21 yet. The UG hosts a variety of events. From small concerts, comedian, chill video game nights, themed nights, and more. And there is always free popcorn and soda! Keep up to date on the UG鈥檚 events and hours by following聽. During Choose Your Own Adventure, come and have fun for this Karaoke Night!聽**The UG requires a state ID or driver鈥檚 license along with your COW card for entry during the school year. For Orientation event, only COW card is needed. No backpacks or outside food or drink permitted.**
New Student Welcome 鈥 This聽is the official welcome to 藏花阁直播 from President McCall and other guest speakers. Come join the excitement and bring your energy!
Community Expectations and Residence Hall Meetings 鈥撀Connect with your Resident Assistant as they explain the community expectations for your building and within the College.
Academic Information Sessions 鈥 Learn more about your intended major or another interest. See the info sheet in your packet for times and locations.

March Through the Arch 鈥撀This is a tradition at 藏花阁直播 where first year students March through the Arch symbolizing their arrival and welcome to 藏花阁直播 community. Four years later, students will March through the Arch again as they graduate from the College. Scot Supporters, you will not want to miss this photo opportunity! In addition to the March, 藏花阁直播 will take a class photo in front of the Arch.
Meeting with the Woo Crew 鈥撀Your orientation leader at 藏花阁直播 is called your 鈥淲oo Crew鈥 leader. Your Woo Crew leader will help you get adjusted to campus and be vital resource throughout New Student Orientation.
Meeting with Academic Advisor 鈥 Meet to discuss or alter your schedule or just connect. This mandatory meeting will help you begin to think through the next four years of study at 藏花阁直播.
Orientation Programming 鈥撀Orientation programming is designed to help students with their adjustment to college. Orientation programming will focus on how to get adjusted to the community, while also focusing on topics such as Title IX and domestic violence.
Residential Belonging 鈥撀Meet and greet members from your residence hall and others for a fun night of programming.
